Kalyan West, situated in the eastern parts of Thane is a well developed suburb. Kalyan West is not actually a part of Mumbai. It comes under the neighbouring district of Mumbai. It is located at a distance of 20.8 km from Thane via NH 160 while Mumbai and Navi Mumbai at a distance of 42.1 and 32.2 km respectively via Eastern Express Highway/Mumbai-Agra National Highway and Kalyan-Shilphata Road, Ulhasnagar, Dombivli East, Dombivli West, Bhiwandi, Thane, Titwala, Kalwa, Mumbra, Mulund East, Thane West are its neighbouring cities.
