Real Estate is not every man's business. It is about anticipating the potential and knowing the fickle-mindedness of the markets before they rise or flatten out. With this learning and understanding, the Group's presence has been concerted and in well-managed phases.

In the early 1990s when the housing requirements saw the slow yet steady emergence of the apartment culture in cities like Hyderabad , we were there. Unlike several other players, our approach was to create law-conforming, well-planned living places. With an eye on the high-end customer whose penchant for private, gated communities was high, the Group developed a couple of properties. Gated communities were in fashion with us, before the public even became familiar with it.

Our presence in real estate has had an interesting fallout. That of an honest, quality-conscious developer. We see this as an intangible equity. Perhaps a kind of a customer-surplus in the markets we operate in today.
