About Ramamurthy Nagar

Ramamurthy Nagar is one of the fastest growing localities in the eastern part of Bengaluru. Strategically located close to the ORR, Ramamurthy Nagar is surrounded by prime areas such as Kalyananagar, Horamavu, KR Puram, Kasturinagar, and Banaswadi.

 

Ramamurthy Nagar has great connectivity due to its proximity to the Outer Ring Road, and is close to the Old Madras Road. This makes for an ideal location to set up a home or commercial space. The locality also has a number of lakes such as Jayanthinagar Lake, Kithanagur Lake, and Varanasi Lake, though some of them are in a bad condition due to encroachments and the dumping of sewage.

 

All sorts of basic amenities are available in this region. The area has good medical facilities, with hospitals such as Koshy’s Hospital and KL Hospital. The infrastructure is good, too, with wide roads and excellent water supply from Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB). The locality is close to two major IT parks in Bengaluru, namely Manyata Tech Park and ITPB, and this is one of the primary growth factors in the real estate sector.

 

Connectivity and transit points

 

Ramamurthy Nagar has great connectivity to the city’s major transit points such as Shivaji Nagar, Kempegowda Bus Station, KR Market and Kempegowda International Airport by buses. The 300, 313, and 500 series of buses run through this area. Auto-rickshaws running on sharing basis are also available easily.

 

The area is in close proximity to the important railway stations such as KR Puram Railway Station, Bangalore East Railway Station, and Banaswadi Railway Station, which are located about 4 km, 7 km and 5 km away respectively. The city’s main railway station, the Bangalore City Railway Station however, is located about 20 km away.

 

Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on the other hand is about 36 km. KIA AC and non-AC buses ply frequently through the ORR and are easily available from Ramamurthy Nagar. Cabs are also easily available to the airport.

 

The closest metro station is the one at Baiyappanahalli, and is located about 4 km from Ramamurthy Nagar.

The strategic location of Ramamurthy Nagar at the intersection of the Outer Ring Road has been a silver lining for the people here. The commercial growth in this area has risen immensely due to the excellent connectivity to all the major localities of Bengaluru.
