Its nearby cities are Pratik Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, Yerawada, Navi Khadki, Gandhi Nagar, Adarsh Nagar and Ramwadi. It comes under Pune Municipal Corporation. Pune city is located at a distance of 7 km while Mumbai is about 150 km away from Shastri Nagar. Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Road is the only internal road for Shastri Nagar. Other major roads are DP Road and Paud Road which further has its access with Mumbai Highway (NH 48).
