Virugambakkam is a residential neighborhood situated in the western parts of Chennai. It is an important residential locality famous for residences of film artists. This locality is sharing its boundaries with Saligramam, Koyambedu, MMDA Colony, Mogappair, Vanagaram, Valasaravakkam, Maduravoyal, Ayyapakkam, Anna Nagar, T Nagar, Alwartirunagar, Porur, Vadapalani, Kodambakkam among others. Lambert Nagar, Ayyavupuram, Ganpat Raj Nagar, Chinmaya Nagar, Shanmuga Nagar, AVM Colony, Elango Nagar, Devraj Nagar are some of the largest colonies comes within Virugambakkam.
