The project of illuminating the ORR stretch with LED lights is to be taken up. The Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) proposal will cover the stretch from Kokapet to Shamshabad, which is a distance of 136 km.

A Mass Rapid Transport System (MRTS) is under consideration and is expected to boost connectivity to the IT hub and some fast-developing areas in the western parts of the city. It will complement the existing MMTS that fans into various parts of the city from Lingampally, and the Metro Rail network.
