Hennur Road is a major road located in North Bengaluru, in the state of Karnataka. The road branches off the Outer Ring Road approximately 6 kilometers northwest from the Benniganahalli Flyover. Extending northwards from the Outer Ring Road towards the new international airport in Devanahalli, the Hennur Main Road runs past a couple of neighborhoods on its way.
Ever since the conception of the Kempegowda International Airport, Hennur Road became a key residential locality for people who wanted to be close to both the city and the airport. Major builders and homeowners started to become more and more interested in the real estate here, since the beginning of the airport’s construction in 2005.
Real estate prices are still relatively low in Hennur but are on the rise, as well-known builders have already begun their land acquisition and construction of residential projects. The construction work for the Hennur Flyover begun in 2010, and was expected to be completed by 2012. But the residents and city-to-airport commuters alike are still awaiting its completion. The reason behind this delay is that the BDA is still trying to acquire the necessary land required to finish the construction, from landowners.
