Payment of Service tax

Q: Hi,

I have recently got a mail from Mantri to pay the service tax for construction of the flat. Wanted to know if anyone has paid the amount as yet and do we have to foot the service tax bill?

I am NRI (USA). I got mail saying i need pay extra service tax. I have no idea, what is this? did every one has to pay this? how to bargain to pay less.

I also got the mail, mine is 1198 sft and they are asking for Rs 111700/- not sure why they are asking for such huge amout..?

Hi Ashish,
I also got an email recently to pay the service tax. I haven't yet paid. I asked them the amount and they said it is Rs 40,775. Could you please let me know how much you have been asked to pay. Mine is 1198 sft flat.
