Recently I read news that there has been a drop of property rates to 15% in some cities, however in Pune, a rise in rates of around 5-10%. Also due to the rising interest rates, there is a possibility of correction of real estate prices in the near future. Why is there a difference in property rates?

Yes the drops in property rates are true. The rates depend on demand and supply. This may vary on a project to project basis. The projects which see good demand will not see a correction. The difference is obviously there as Pune is definitely a very good investment option booming with the IT and manufacturing sectors.
