Will the government give fund for eartquake hit houses?

Q: I'm residing in Bhubaneswar, Odisha and few days back there was a mild earthquake. The city was safe, but my question is what we will do if a high density earthquake affects our home and property. Will the government pay for the loss or buy a new house for us?

According to report, only 2% of India’s homes have been insured to protect themselves over the natural calamities. Bankers are encouraging the house owners to have house insurance policies. It's better to insure your house so that you can get a return after any natural disaster.
