How to save the greenary of the Deshapriya park in Kolkata?

Q: I heard that Deshapriya park in Kolkata which was known for its greenary is now loosing its greenary. Why the West Bengal Forest Department is not taking any action against the removing of the full grown trees from the park? Why the Kolkata Municipal Corporation is uprooting the trees, what is the reason that they have to uproot trees?

I reside in Kolkata, in Ballygunge and Deshapriya park is very near to my place it is true that the park is loosing its greenary in the name of develpment, Kolkata Municipal Corporation itself is uprooting the trees from the park for the construction of a restaurant, with a pay and use toilet, and sculptors of the martyrs and the constuction was sanctioned by Trinamool Congress MP Mamata Banerjee. The resident of that area and the green activists protested against uprooting any more trees because transplantation of trees wont work. The civic activists they did not pay any heed to our suggestions and they have moved ahead by uprooting the trees.
