What is the best place in India to 'live & play'.

Q: I am looking to relocate to a place where I can be individually creative, and enjoy my life. A place with year round mild climate, natural beauty, and preferably by the sea side, would be nice. It should be within walking distance to all the daily amenities, like market, ATM/bank, etc.

Thank you for your informative response, David Oomen Mathews. Nothing like knowing about a place from someone who actually lives there.

Hi Ranku.. Yes north east or rather any city in India has lost its charm due to heavy pollution and more population. Still you can relax in the backwaters of Kerela. The Kerala Backwaters are a network of interconnected canals, rivers, lakes formed by more than 900 km of waterways. From Kollam to Kottapuram, it covers a distance of 205 km and runs almost parallel to the coast line of southern Kerala. Kochi/ Cochin is located at the lake's outlet to the Arabian Sea. Alleppey, "Venice of the East", has a large network of canals. Vembanad is India’s longest lake.

Goa is the smallest state in India and has fourth least population in the country. The city has cultural influence of the Portuguese.

Joseph Sebastian, I like your response...I already live in the North East! - Guwahati actually, which is now no longer recognizable as a NE city - you might as well be battling through the nauseous congestion of any other booming Indian city.
Tell me more if you could about the backwaters of Kerala, and the colourful life of Goa.
Thank you.

Very nice choice to live your own life Ranku!! I feel you can explore the North East of India or extreme northern part like Leh-Ladakh or calm and peaceful back waters of Kerela in the south or you can enjoy the colourful life of Goa in the west. It all depends on your wish where you can settle down and adjust.

However if you interested in buying property anywhere in India then you can post your requirement at http://www.commonfloor.com/post-public-property-requirement to get matching properties details on your Email and Mobile.
