Plastic bags banned in Chennai.

Q: Recently Supreme Court has banned the use of plastic bags and the awareness. Is there any alternative then using the plastic bags?

The reason for not using plastic bags is that the bags does not get decomposes so fast and easily and it creates problem as it jam the drains. So to get rid of the trouble the Supreme Court has banned the plastic bags. There is an alternative of using biodegradable and compostable bag which quickly gets decomposed; the rates of the bags are little high than the normal plastic bags. The demand for these bags is not so high but gradually the demand is increasing.
