Want to buy a land.

Q: I am NRI and I am planning to buy a land with one of my friends. I will be paying 65% of the cost and my friemd will be paying 35%. What are the precautions I should take before making the agreement? Do I have to give the power of attorney to him?

You neednot have to take any such precautions nut it is better if you are present at the time of Registration of Sale Deed and the payment should be specified in the Conveyance Deed. It is not that you have to give the power of attorney to your friend but you can give it to any one.
