The buyer wants the photo copy of my original property documents to get a loan.
Q: I am about to sell my house for which I have already taken the token money from the buyer. The buyer needs to apply for a home loan for which he is asking me for the photo copy of my house documents. Is there any risk if I give the photo copies?
The bank requires No Encumbrance Certificate from the buyer when a Loan is sanctioned. The respective bank has to verify all documents related to the property. You won't face any issue, if you hand over the photo copies of your property documents.
