Hi, as per my knowledge in KK Nagar Wood Work unit, the housing board is to construct 400 houses under the self-finance scheme and TNHB received 350 applicants for the 400 houses with great demand of housing another 130-odd houses will come up under the government rental scheme.
The housing board is focused on building governmental rental quarters which will be used as transit housing. Many old housing quarters in the city are being completely destroy to make way for redevelopment. Inhabitants will be housed in these transit government rental flats.
Earlier in 2010,TNHB redevelopment plan were thousand dilapidated houses had to make way for new construction. As per the new plan, the housing board and the private firm will construct more than 1,500 flats and allotment of the houses will give priority to government servants who lived in the razed homes.
Hi, currently i have heard that The Tamil Nadu Housing Board tie up with private builder for Foreshore homes, it is true? what is the impact of joint venture with private parties?
Hi raghav, it is true that TNHB tie up with the private developer and builder in joint venture to completed his project. earlier response from THNB is very poor and after getting only 70 applicants for its 560 flats under the Foreshore Estate redevelopment scheme, TNHB has decided to bring in a private builder for a joint venture.
No the issue has not been solved and we the flat owners are left to stay in rented houses. Meanwhile the CMDA and Chennai Corporation is not providing plan approvals and building permits without an NOC from TNHB.
