As per my knowledge,
In 2010, the authority sealed more than 200 towers, saying installation of towers was a commercial activity. But half of the mobile towers are situated in residential area which are allowed by the owners to be installed.

As far as I know the court banned installation of mobile towers in residential areas and sought assessment of the impact of existing ones. Then why 50% of the towers in Noida are situated in residential area.

Due to health hazards and harmful radiation, residents of apartments in Noida have asked for shut down of mobile towers in the localities.
