Housing society has imposed additional fee of Rs.450/Month on flat which are rented out

Q: The housing society has imposed additional fee of Rs.450/Month on flat which are rented out. I have not found such a fee anywhere in India, is this legal.

What if it is rented out? They are taking all the fees as usual right? When there is no change in it, why should they charge extra? All of you together question them and demand to stop imposing this extra charges..

I spoke to housing society president, he has convyed this is to keep maintainance charges minimal But the owners who have rented flat end up paying much more other residents which is biased. Also society preseident is threatning to stop the vehicles of the tenant from entering the society. I will have to talk to legal expert to take future course of action.

I do not think that the housing society can impose additional fee with any reason. Did you talk with the society and ask the reason about the additional fee.
