Rate of stamp duty on the giftdeed to be executed by father to daughter on the residential property

Q: What is rate of stamp duty on the giftdeed to be executed by father to daughter on the residential property situated in Kurukshetra(Haryana). Father has already executed the Will but not got registered.To avoid any future legal problem might face by his daughter,he want to execute giftdeed.Pl.also let me know the circle rate on which stamp papers to be purchased and who will bear the cost of papers.

Gift deed must be stamped and registered at the registar office. There is difference in stamp duty rate in Haryana state. For Gift Deed-- 5% and Sale Deed-- 7%

You can also ask in the registrar office for you to pay as per Market Value and State Stamp Act.

Gift deed has to be stamped and registered. Registration fees (Haryana) are as follows: a) For all optionally registrable documents except leases it will cost you Rs 50

b) For all compulsory registrable documents (other than leases of immovable property)

i) If the value of consideration in money does not exceed Rs. Fifty thousand then you have to pay Rs100.00.

If it exceeds Rs. Fifty thousand but does not exceed Rs. One lac then you have to pay Rs 500.00

If it exceeds Rs. One lac but does not exceed Rs. Five lac then you have to pay Rs 1000.00

If it exceeds Rs. Five lacs but does not exceed Rs. Ten lacs then you have to pay Rs 5000.00

If it exceeds Rs. Ten lacs but does not exceed Rs. Twenty lacs then you have to pay Rs10000.00

If it exceeds Rs. Twenty lacs but does not exceed Rs. Twenty Five lacsthen you have to pay Rs15000.00

For GPA, SPA, adoption deed, Miscellaneous documents you have to pay Rs 100.00

For Will you have to pay Rs 200.00

For Trust you have to pay Rs 50.00
