Q: Hey
Can some one please help me how to calculate the property tax per year, My neighbor is receiving a bill of half of my bill with same squarefeet, why is PMC doing like this , Last 2 years the Apartment was undergoing with leak repairs without MSEB connection, After fighting with Builder finally I managed to get MSEB new connection by spending 15000 rupees , earlier I have paid 55000 for MSEB connection,How do we get any help on these king of issues?please help me

Hi, the Pune Property Tax structure has made the payment flow better and in an efficient manner, E-Governance was introduced by the Municipal Corporation. In order to encourage taxpayers, it has adopted a practice of giving concession to its tax payers. According to this rule, the property in question must be used for residential purposes. In other words, no kind of concession is applicable for a property if it is used for commercial purpose. And where this property is self-occupied, this concessional benefit is restricted to 40%. However, there are some concessions if you pay your property tax before a certain said date. Check if you are paying after that date.
