I am surprised that we are not even talking about the basic amenties like roads, hospitals, banks, schools, security, neighborhood, etc and only concentrating on the mall part.. What is important is the basic necessities for a common man.. .. We should be first comparing west and east on basis of proximity to these amentities. In WEST hinjewadi is a big plus. also we have e-square, aditya birla hospital, medipoint. Also, Aundh is definitely good with DAV school in the vicinity..

Bu the way many have commented that East is more happening and cosmopolitan, however for families I would prefer West as it is close to major IT/Auto companies.

I don't agree with you guys.. I think West Pune is more residential while east is mix of residential and commercial. West Pune is bit more peaceful than east. It is more like one society ends & another starts. In east, you see nice residential complex & out of sudden there will be some IT/BPO/KPO office in between.

Remember in west Pune like Wakad, Balewadi, most buyers will be ITGs, while in east, it will be more mixed.

I agree with Nitesh.. The Pune-Nagar Highway is expanding and is in the vicinity & surrounding fringe areas are rapidly growing. Also, close proximity to M.G Road & Pune Station, Pune Airport.

I feel East Pune is a better place to stay any day than other localities. Its because it is in close proximity with the shopping malls, super markets, multiplexes, Cyber city, EON IT Park, SP Infocity, BPOs in Kalyani Nagar.. Koregaon Park and Kalyani Nagar are some of the posh localities in the vicinity..
