The Residents Welfare Association of Sector D, Pocket 2, Vasant Kunj, representing 64 flat owners, sought a court stay on construction, saying they have a vested interested in the land. So the issue is still going on.

I think even claim that the government did not have the right to take over the service lane and green belt area since the owners are paying for the land. Moreover, the land was acquired for that particular area and the residents had vested right on the common areas, which were no longer under absolute ownership of the government.

No I think the goverment is also taking and even complaint of the residents states that they paid for the land, which is being used for widening now, when it was being acquired years ago for developing the colony and they have a stake in it.
