Kalki, builders have very less profit and sometimes zero profit with these kind of constructions.. Adding to it they also have to bribe officers for approvals. First of all they have no profit, along with it they have other risks too..
As far as I know, it is good to have affordable rates for houses.. Also govt is trying hard to promote such projects.. then why are developers opposing it?
The government had initiated 'scheme for affordable urban housing in Odisha-2012' which directs developers to reserve 15 percent built-up space for developing residential units for economically weaker section (EWS) and lower income group (LIG). But the developers are of the opinion that it is not feasible and sought for reduction in their contribution to low cost residential projects.
