Latest Answer: The NMC had chosen 11 locations in the city and has received approval from the central government under JNNURM to build 16,000 houses for the project. However, the civic body has decided to construct 11,200 houses as per the availability of land. Construction work for 8,000 houses has already been started at various locations in the city. In February, the NMC had allotted houses to the beneficiaries at their housing project in Nilgiri Bag.

Latest Answer: Sagar, even when builder gives you the flats once they are ready, before taking possession you should check that all the taxes have been paid and there are no pending dues. No building violations must ever be mentioned in the agreement. Once the proper verification process is completed, only then you give General Power of Attorney to the developer.. Finally, the builder will have to set up an apartment owners association and formally hand over the building to the association. The clearances and documents should be handed over to the association as well. A formal agreement and hiring a lawyer is essential when a landowner is allowing a developer to develop his plot.

Latest Answer: Many developers and influential people have bought land in aravali forest region because it is in proximity to the Gurgaon-Faridabad Highway.. also govt is planning to set up of a mega tourism complex. they have assumed that there will be good realty boom and land rates may go sky high.. But as per rules, if the land has to be used for any non-forestry purpose then it is mandatory to get approval from the central government.

Recently the government launched redevelopment plan for Sector- 5 of the Dharavi slums and the total value of the project is around Rs 5,000 crores. After which they nod the proposal for the redevelopment of chawls in South Mumbai. The purpose of redeveloping chawls is to provide double the size of their existing dwellings.
