I agree with both of you , as the fact is leasehold properties are not freely transferable and the transactions are done through Power of Attorney make them a risky venture. So be careful while checking the documents. And i also heard that Delhi , some years back, all properties were on leasehold.
Hoolla, i can just advice you few things like leasehold Properties or buying property means that you own just the building and not the land, so in that case you have to pay the ground rent to your landlord. In Delhi the government owns most of the land and some of which is leased out. You should keep in mind that leasehold properties are not freely transferable and the transactions are done through Power of Attorney (POA).
Hi, i think almost 90 % of the commercial property is in leasehold.so it is safe to invest in leasehold properties even if the property is leasehold authority is more responsible for its infrastructural development and all modern amenities. You know i think there is no risk in investing in leasehold property mainly time period of leasehold properties are 99 years which will be extended before the time period will be expired . Although i would like to suggest you that please research past projects before investing
