The total area under Wakf properties all over India is estimated at about 6 lakh acres and the book value at about Rs 6,000 crores. A recent estimate of the current value of Wakf properties in Delhi alone is in excess of Rs. 6,000 crores.

There are 123 properties were in prime locations including areas of NDMC, Connaught Place and MCD areas which the Central government had transferred to the Delhi Wakf Board but they are still under litigation for more than two decades.

WAKF properties in Delhi has been encroached by ASI.There a large number of plots across the city which is dedicated to Wakf and some of them are at prime locations which can be used for commercial purposes.So if there is illegalized land people will not invest

This is a movable or immovable property in Delhi which is used as pious, religious, or charitable. The basic focus of Wakf is charity. In literal terms Wakf means endowment of movable or immovable property by Muslims for the welfare of the poor and needy and for maintaining properties dedicated to tombs, mosques, orphanages, shrines and madrasas.
