Yes I totally agree with the above member, it is quite hard to differentiate between the two areas. Both North Chandigarh and South Chandigarh are good areas depending on personal objectives and choice.
If a purely up market residential area is the basic contention then nothing can beat the posh North Chandigarh areas especially between sectors 4 to 11. On the other hand if a mixture of commercial and residential space is not much of a problem, one can consider South Chandigarh which has various commercial establishments located within the residential periphery.
The development that started along NH-8 in Gurgaon has spread to Manesar, Dharuhera and now Bhiwadi, and is likely to go up to Alwar. We feel that this city gives value for money to the investors and the buyers.
North Chandigarh is the posh residential areas of the city and allows for a perfect urban living experience well connected to commercial centers, schools and hospitals. South Chandigarh on the other hand is slightly more crowded with various shop cum offices commonly known as SCO’s prevalent in the area
Both North Chandigarh and South Chandigarh have their own advantages and disadvantages. It all depends on what is your preference. While prices in South Chandigarh range between Rs. 65,000 to Rs 85,000 per square yard, the prices in Northern areas of the city especially sectors 4 to 11 are between Rs. 1.25 Lacs to Rs. 1.50 Lacs per square yard.
