DDA to track encroachment through satellite

Q: Hi, i was told that the DDA is now going to check encroachments through real time satellite...do you think that it will be helpful. Comment please!!

hey, i heard that the VC has also commented on the rehabilitation of the Kathputli Colony in west delhi. they will be shifted to transit camp in anand parbat when the construction is going on....

yes, it appears that all the 2800 families will be rehabilitated in 8 towers. DDA will be handed over 2800 flats to be given to the EWS section people by the builder while he will have one tower to himself.

hi.. The Kathputli Colony project which is spread across 5.22 hectares land and has planned construction of 2,800 EWS (economically weaker section) units for squatter families.

good... hopefully now they willbe able to locate existing encroachments and prevent new encroachments. Apparently out of the 79,000 acres of land under DDA s jurisdiction, about 1,500 acres have been encroached upon.

apparently, DDA don't even know exactly how much of land is encroached upon. And real time mapping will help track new encroachments before they go out of hand........

yea Himangi, the announcement was made by the new vice-chairman of DDA, Balwinder Kumar. It seems that that DDA has begun digital real-time mapping through satellite.
