Q: I have a flat near by IIMB in Bannerghatta road, I have not done Khata transfer. But there are some deviations done by builders, So I might get B khata. As per new BBMP announcement,I heard that by paying betterment charges, we can get A khata.If so then when it will be effective.Is it for flat also

In a move to mop up revenue for the government, the BBMP (Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike) has come up with a three-tier system for collecting the betterment charges that were stopped since 2007. The betterment charges are collected from the revenue site owners to transfer their B Khatas to A Khatas.

Betterment charges are very important that need to be payed as properties with BBMP A khata without betterment charges are not eligible for home loans from nationalized banks.
