I heard that the local authority is planning to improve the work on the Mumbai-Pune highway. When the toll collection in this Expressway will come to an end?
Yes MSRDC is planning to under infrastructure improvement work on the Mumbai-Pune highway on high priority basis. The period for toll collection on the Mumbai Pune expressway will come to an end in 2019. MSRDC has decided to install digital warning boards and a surveillance system involving speed cameras. The system will be installed at a cost of Rs 63.8 crore
The local authority is planning to broadened the old highway from four lanes to six lanes, and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway will be extended from six to eight lanes. This will cut short the travelling to three hours and forty-five minutes thus saving a lot of fuel. The approximate length of these flyovers will be 300-500 metres and will be built between Panvel and Pune.
It seems that last month the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) floated bids for the installation of Brifen wire ropes, which promise to make travel along the route safer.
Ha Ha Ha.. According to sources on an average everyday more than 30 thousand vehicles use the old Pune-Mumbai highway. Once the construction work starts in this flyover it will be nightmare for the commuters using the old highway.
The Mumbai Pune Expressway have not at all ease the traffic chaos infact it has increased the traffic congestion because of the pending work of constructing 15 flyovers on the highway from this year. :( :(
