How is the real estate growth in Thoraipakkam ? Which would be the best option to buy flat or plot ? How about rentals in this area ? How is the water and electricity supply ?
@Kunal: The real estate growth is good as it is a developing area. Thoraipakkam water supply comes from the Chennai Public Works Department (PWD). The electricity supply in Thoraipakkam is managed by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB).
According to me it would be better to buy flat here. The rates of residential property in Thoraipakkam is going high mainly due to good builders coming up and also near by IT hub.
As far as I know The Thoraipakkam Pallavaram Radial road running east to west connects the IT corridor and the GST Road making Thoraipakkam well connected to the airport especially after the opening of the flyover (ROB) at the western end. :)
I want to know how is the accessibility and connectivity from Thoraipakkam to other parts of the city? How is the social infrastructure there and also please help me out with reputed schools and colleges ?
@Balwinder: The area is well connected with other parts of the city. It is 21 km from Chennai City Railway Station and 15 km from Chennai International Airport. Also (MRTS)Mass Rapid Transportation system and Bus terminal is near by. There are direct buses from Tambaram, Chennai Central, Thiruvanmiyur, Mahabalipuram, T Nagar and Saidapet. It can be reached through Perungudi, Velachery, OMR and Ring Road.
Hospitals such as Nanthini Hospital, S V Hospital and Vision Expressions is within the radius of 6km. Some of the reputed educational institutes are within the radius of 5 km are APL Global School, Little Angels, Akshara School, Government High School and DB Jain College.
@Vkumar: Thoraipakkam is one of Chennai’s fastest growing localities, connecting major IT companies to Chennai city and is located on the Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR), the first six lane road on Chennai, also known as IT Expressway. As a huge number of IT companies like Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, TVS Infotech and other have established their operation here, the real estate skyline has drastically changed.
Thoraipakkam is a good location to live. It is a developed area. Most of the IT Hubs and IT companies have been launched here. Many fast food joints like KFC, Dominos & others have put up outlets there to cater to the growing need. Thoraipakkam is becoming a self sustained locality and there is no need to go to Adyar for any needs.
Guys Thoraipakkam has become a residential as well as commercial hub for the builders and developers of Chennai. Mostly all flats in Thoraipakkam are in the 2 BHK to 4 BHK configurations. Even after such developments property prices are affordable when compared to posh localities like Velachery.
