Yes, In a bid to provide relief to the common man in payment of stamp duty and registrations fees on the documents like sale agreement and the power of attorney during sale-purchase of properties, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in her budget also sought to reduce the stamp duty on these documents from 3 and 2 per cent to 0.5 per cent respectively. She also sought to slash the registration fees from 1 per cent to 0.25 percent with a cap of Rs 10,000 on the two documents, namely sale agreement and the power of attorney.
Hi folks, There are some changes in Stamp Duty on ancestral property in Rajasthan. On 8th March, 2016, In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9 of the Rajasthan Stamp Act. 1998 (Act No. 14 of 1999) and in suppression of this department's notification number F.4(14)FD/Tax Div.l98-S2 dated 09.07.1998, the State Government being of the opinion that it is expedient in public interest so to do, hereby orders that the stamp duty chargeable on the instrument of partition of ancestral property shall be reduced and charged at the rate of 1.5% of the market value of the separated share or shares of the property.

Stamp duty is calculated on the consideration amount mentioned in the document or True Market Value, whichever is higher. As per stamp duty slabs, residential flats in a co-operative society costing Rs 5,00,000 would attract a stamp duty of Rs 8,750. Flats above Rs 5,00,000 would be levied stamp duty at Rs. 8,750 plus 5% of the market value of the property. Registration charges will be 1% of market value.
Hi Neha, As informed by Karunakar, the stamp duty id 5% in general but however females are entitled to get a rebate of 1% on such stamp duty and they are charged 45 for the same. The registration charge is same 1% for all.
Hi Neha, The stamp duty is 5% for the general categories and it is slightly less at 4% for females and disabled. The registration fee is constant for all categories at 1% of the price mentioned in the sales deed.
