Hi Rishi, The deed should be written on non-judicial stamp paper with requisite amount of stamp duty leviable on the Deed basing on its valuation and required amount of registration fees. The present rate of stampduty is 5 % of the value of the property (as per Benchmark Valuation). The present rate of registration fee is 2 % of the value of the property (as per Benchmark Valuation)

It is payable before execution of the document or on the day of execution of document or on the next working day of executing such a document. Execution of the document means putting signature on the Document paper of residential property.
