Hey there are a lot more residential localities on Hunsur Road near Vijayanagar and Vidyarayanapuram. Elavala is still undergoing development. The residential colony of Elavala has not developed as much as other areas of mysore. So I would suggest you to go with Hunsur road, especially the localities like Jayalakshmipuram, Vinayaknagar and V.V. Mohalla. All these areas will be close to your workplace at L&T Infotech. There will be many young professionals living in this area since Infosys is also close by. So you won’t have a problem to find a flat mate if you want to.
Hey Ramesh, I’m sorry but I have to disagree with you. Elavala might currently not have many options for apartment buildings, but there are plenty of residential projects under development. The Yesh Megacity project is almost complete. Most of the apartments have already been sold off. Once the construction is completed, you will be able to rent a 2BHK apartment there. Hunsur road is also a good option as there are more number of general stores and supermarkets in this area for your monthly or weekly grocery shopping.
Hunsur Road and Elavala both are close to the L&T office. So you can take an apartment on either of the two. There are good residential localities on Hunsur Road, like Saraswathipuram and Gokula. The average square foot rent is also pretty low here. So Hunsur Road will be cheaper on your pocket. Elavala is a bit more expensive locality and there aren’t that many residential projects there yet. You can still check out the rent rates in some of the properties in these places by consulting any online real estate website.
