Also there have been several reported cases of misplacement of some important documents. But it should be fine, because more than 1 lakh property register cards have been issued and will be distributed quite soon. The only challenge the government is facing right now in this project is to figure out a way to document collection wrt vacant lands.

In both, the 2 BHKs offer you a ground space of around 1000 - 1200 sq ft. If you want a 3 BHK, then go for Vinyasa Bharati and the ground space here is around 1700 sq ft.

Because of the large scale developments on the ORR, there have been price appreciations in Vijayanagar extension as well. A 240 yard land in Vijayanagar extn that used to cost Rs 1.5 lakh 5 years ago, now fetches close to 5 lakh rs on the market. Even agricultural land is 10 times more expensive in this area.

Q: It seems that the local body is investing to develop the Valmiki Road into a 2 laner? Is this a boon or bane?
Latest Answer: Valmiki Road, I am very sorry , the beautiful tree Canopy on this already reasonably wide road is on attack by widening project of this road. No body seem to understand this serious danger the trees are subjected to. The road work is eating to the very base of the huge trees endangering their very survival. Why no one see this. I have witnessed the Big JBC Machines carve in to the projecting routes of these treees and they being cut and cleared for the road base. I have tried to call attention of the media and tree lovers towards this. But failed to do so. Please see for yourself the trees are now exposed to the edge of the road there base projecting in to the widened road. The next job of squeezing will be done by the footpath makers of this road. The project is very close to the railway station, and Nilgiris supermarket is also near the project. There are large balconies, and the bedrooms are also nice and has a lot of space.

The BJP have also promised improve the connectivity of the city by widening roads from Bangalore to Mysore, and also increased the number of railway lines. There are also plans add a Bus Rapid Transport System (BRTS) to the city. They want to make Mysore software hub which will be another option other than Bangalore. The residential colony of Elavala has not developed as much as other areas of mysore. So I would suggest you to go with Hunsur road, especially the localities like Jayalakshmipuram, Vinayaknagar and V.V. Mohalla. All these areas will be close to your workplace at L&T Infotech. There will be many young professionals living in this area since Infosys is also close by. So you won’t have a problem to find a flat mate if you want to.

Q: How can I pay property tax in Mysore?
Latest Answer: The payment system at the zonal offices is a very confusing procedure. It is better to pay the tax at the bank. Mysore City Corporation has started a new system of property tax payment at different branches of certain banks, like State Bank of Mysore, Vijaya Bank, ING Vysya, and Syndicate Bank. You can go to any branch of any of these four banks and deposit money in the MCC account for that bank. The MCC has been working on starting up a system of online property tax payment from 2010. But they haven’t been able to put up the facility on the website as of now.
