Yeah, the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission has been implemented for areas at the foot of the Chamundi Hills. I think Gundu Rao Nagar is entirely covered by this scheme, so there won’t be any water shortage. I have aready heard some residents of this area saying that the water supply to their homes has improved drastically within a matter of days, after the implementation of this scheme.
You don’t need to worry if you’ll be living in this area, but in case you are moving into some other part of Mysore, then I must warn you to be prepared for frequent water shortages.

Hey, I think the water supply condition in Gundu Rao Nagar is slightly better than other parts of the city. If you’re going to be living there, you will receive continuous water supply throughout the day, all days of the week.
This area in Mysore receives continuous supply of water under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission. You won’t have to invest in water storage tanks or motor pumps for drawing in extra supply of water.

Water supply condition in Mysore has been pretty poor for the last few years. Due to the sudden influx of population in Mysore, there is a water crisis all over Mysore.
The city gets water supply for about 3-4 hours daily. Sometimes there is no water supply for over a day. So, if you’re planning to move into Gundu Rao Nagr, then you’ll have to be cautious about the water supply. It’s better to store up as much water possible when you are receiving the supply.
