Q: Hi all, Im looking to shift to Gokulam, Mysore from Mangalore. I had the chance to go there once, seemed like a nice residential place. But was there only for two hours so couldnt gather much. Can anyone provide more detail on the place?
Apparently this drive is just a start. From Gokulam slowly they are going to check other wards too for this illegal cellar business. The parking problem is anyway increasing in the city. It will only agitate the public more when such misuse of parking areas occur.
True. I heard that the Mysore City Corporation took it up as a drive to ease traffic in these areas. Mainly it is sorting out this issue in Gokulam, Kalidasa Road, Devaraja Urs Road, city bus station, Ashoka Road etc.
There is a lot of illegal commercial activities going on in Gokulam. These private buildings you know, in Gokulam and Devaraja Urs Road I think, they give their basements off to small businesses so thhat it generates a side income
Arey you dont even have to think about it yaar. You have a peaceful residential scene here. Water and electricity are also not a problem. There is also Ramakrishna Ashram and a sports stadium here, if you're into all that. One of the best places in Mysore to stay.
Yeah it is a really good place. Actually north Gokulam is the peaceful area. It has many parks and residential layouts. The southern portion has more commercial spaces and institutions. Kalidasa road is famous here for its many restaurants and cafes.
Hello, I used to live there until a few months ago. It is a nice place. It is right next to V.V Mohalla in Mysore. Both are really nice areas, but Gokulam is more peaceful. All facilities are also there.
