According to the latest news, as part of attempts to have the industrial hub selected among the 1st phase of smart cities of the nation, the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCF) is arranging motivating sessions with different stakeholders to develop a new plan in this regard.

Hi Aman,
According to sources, MCF commissioner Ashok Sharma declared that once the issues are recognized, the action plan on the particular area would be prepared. In this series of many seminars, a session was arranged by CII in partnership with the British High Commission on Smart Cities and Developing Urban Infrastructure.

Addressing the foreign delegates, Honorable Deputy Commissioner of Fairdabad, Mr Amit Kumar Agrawal said that there is a requirement for powerful engagement as well as collaboration with urban local bodies, RWAs and industry too. Faridabad, being a major part of the industrial belt and linked with DMIC, that will have an important part in the smart city wave.

I came to know from news that, India and UK can work jointly on developing smart cities through mutual learning. Smart Cities give local authorities the tools to take successful decisions, resolve any expected issues anxiously as well as better harmonize public open resources. Faridabad was added in the list of 98 cities which will be emerged under the Smart Cities mission.

Reall y , this is all the works of land mafia i feel.. these people have water and electricity connection as well as the property is registered. How is all that possible without the nexus of mafia and the government officials...

Yeah, it seems that in the last 2 years around 65 demolition drives have been carried out to clear about 60 acres of encroached land but these is proving to be quite difficult with residents giving stiff reactions.

Yes Kapil it seems that following an order by the Supreme Court which directed the removal of encroachments, the authorities actions were answered by stiff resistance by the people who had invested their hard earned money here..

Well this area known as Palla region has over a dozen colonies and thousands of residents, mainly migrants from neighboring states. This colony has been there for more than 30 years and residents who have put all their savings into this houses.
