Hi, yeah the problem of the two RWAs is there. And I will also agree that this is why we are not being able to get anything done here in Vengalrao Nagar. I don’t know if the money frm the garbage collection is being laundered or not. Ive heard that the money is being used in welfare works only. They give out receipts while collecting the money, and there is already an internal auditing team. President of CWA, Devidas said that they are currently discussing the pros and cons of merging both the welfare associations into one, as there is no need to have two.

Hey, no yar, it is causing some issues in the colony. The most confusing part is that both those RWAs have Andhra and Telengana members, which leads to even more confusion. In fact some of us even believe that they are not even auditing the garbage collection fee, but laundering it off. Everyday we are seeing that the neighbouring colonies are all getting developed with construction of BT roads and all. We have got the sanction, but nothing seems to get done here because of these internal conflicts.

Not just the RWAs, there is also a senior citizen council and the federation of Vengalrao Nagar colony. The two RWAs here are the Vengalrao Nagar Colony Welfare Association (VNCWA) and Collective Welfare Association (CWA). There is not much conflict as such, but the thing is that we have to pay the maintenance fee to both of them separately. There are even separate garbage collection rickshaws for these two RWAs.

Well not any problems as such. Just that there is a contradiction between the two RWAs in the colony. You know what RWA is, right? - Residential Welfare Association? Yeah, so there are two of these in Vengalrao Nagar, and there is a sort of rivalry, you can say, between these two. Its funny because in the rest of the city, the problem is that there isn’t any well-functioning RWA, and here in Vengalrao Nagar, we are suffering from a typical situation of ‘too many cooks spoil the broth’.
