Q: Moving to Mahalaxmi Nagar in Indore pretty soon. I’ve heard that the city faces a severe power crisis. What’s the situation in this locality guys? Any idea?
I know. Powercuts related to load sheddings are a frequent feature. Also what happens is the power supply is often affected by the rains and the weather changes. I feel that its due to inadequate infrastructure. In fact right after the second rainfall of this monsoon, the power went out in the evening and it only came back next day morning. Its harassing because the residents have to suffer through without power through all the seasons. During summer there are powercuts on the name of pre-monsoon maintenance work, but still the power goes off almost everytime it rains. So i don’t know what maintenance they are doing actually.
Yes, the power crisis is definitely here. My sister’s house is in Mahalaxmi nagar and I have some idea about the number of powercuts that plague that area. It is funny because the state government claims that they are providing us Indoreans power continuously, but still there are cases like this and that also in such a prominent residential part of the city like Mahalaxmi Nagar. The powercuts there last for hours, and are pretty regular. Its okay during the day, people manage somehow, but after dark it is almost impossible to do anything without the power.
