Q: I’ll be moving in to the Suraram Colony in Kukatpally pretty soon. Can you give me a general idea about this place? I mean, how is it from a safety and security point of view?

In my point of view this locality is safe with good connectivity, so u don't worry about the location. Kukatpally is a major residential and commercial suburb in Hyderabad.more over i like this localities due to connectivity major, transport are good through this locality across Hyderabad.

I think you’ll be quite safe now in this locality. Don’t worry much. I think Kukatpally has always been quite a safe place to begin with. And whatever few miscreants were plaguing this place so far have been taken care of by this recent search operation. In fact a lot of stolen goods were also recovered by the police, apart from apprehending all these miscreants. The police even took suspects and ex-criminals into custody just to be on the safe side.

Oh yeah, I know about this search operation. A very close friend of mine, Guruprasad lives right in this colony in Kukatpally, so he was giving me the whole story. I think it happened sometime in mid July. Yeah, apparently the number of unwanted social elements had increased a lot in this locality and the residents were complaining about that, so the police carried out this kind of an investigative operation. According to the police they were mostly young migrant workers from other states who were responsible for most of these incidents of misdemeanour.

Okay funny thing is that only very recently there has been a search operation in this colony. See I think right now after all these high end security measures, there wont be any safety issues in the locality for a long time now. Because Kukatpally is essentially an ideal place to have your house in Hyderabad. I myself lived here for a long time, and I never had to face any kind of issues as such.
