Apparently MUDA has stated that underground drainage, electricity supply and construction of roads are also part of the project. This is a very good thing for Mysore because projects like this is what will ultimately attract buyers to start investing in Mysore. And since Mysore still doesn't have a very well established industrial base, this commercial project might just help boost that up! This will also help fetch employment for many workers and if solving civic issues is complimentary then I'm not complaining :D
It's quite strange isn't it? Good strange. I've seen the local body do a lot to make the civic facilities in Mysore better but this is definitely a first. Even the Valmikki road is being widened. Not bat at all. I think work on the amphitheatre has already started and it should be complete in 9 months, or so they say. And a Bangalore designer is doing the interiors. He's even putting in a library and a cafe. The theatre is said to seat about 250 people. This should be interesting :)
Hey yeah that's right! :) The residents of Gokulam now have this amphitheatre to boast off. This recreational facility closer to home will do wonders for the real estate in the area. Gokulam is a really good place to invest in Mysore because it is well developed, has good connectivity, presence of MNC's, good colleges and there haven't been too many civic complains in the locality. It is considered one of the 'high rising' localities in Mysore and it has immense potential for growth in the years to come. This project is going to cost 1 crore but it is so great that the civic authorities are investing in a project like this!
