Q: I heard there will be a helpline number for residents of Secunderabad for any kind of civic issue problems? Is that true? Can anyone tell me more about this, I’m looking to shift here soon actually.
Hey from what I’ve heard, they have actually set up an emergency monsoon control room at the North Zone office in Secunderabad. I have the number also – 27803321. You guys can call and lodge your complaints during the monsoon, and they will take care of it. This line is active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you’ll have constant service. Meanwhile Ive heard that they are also going to be fixing whatever monsoon problems, like repairing the roads, placing lids on the open manholes, cleaning and desilting the drains, etc.
Yes that’s what they are saying, I don’t know how far it will be implemented though. Monsoon is already starting here, and so far none of the steps mentioned in the monsoon plan have been completely dealt with. And from what Ive heard only two out of these three teams are going to be quick response types. There will be 6 members and 2 vehicles per team. The good thing is that these vehicles are going to be fully equipped with whatever items that might be needed in cases of such emergencies.
Yes, that is right actually. There is going to be a proper helpline desk where we, as the residents of Secunderabad can call in and lodge our complaints about any civic issues we are facing this monsoon. We’ll be able to lodge all kinds of complaints, like water stagnation problems, overflowing sewage, clogged drains and other stuff. Basically all the problems that Secunderabad faces during the monsoon. Actually three teams are being allotted for this particular helpline. The residents can call in anytime during the monsoon, and there issues will be dealt with.
