AB road - how is the locality?

Q: I am currently working at Optel Software Technology Park in Pardeshipura. I have been in Indore for the last two years and have a rented apartment near my workplace. I am not happy with the area as development is slow and there are frequent power cuts. I am looking to shift into a more reliable and pristine locality. Some collegues at work suggested Ab bypass road. Any idea on how the locality is and what are the rates of a 1bhk?

I wont say there are no PUPs, some provisions are there for that, but its definitely not adequate. And forget the pedestrian underpass, the vehicle underpasses are also missing. You'll have to take a round of almost 4 km! Imagine that!.

Other than that, this road is a hell for pedestrians. Did u know that there are absolutely no pedestrian under pass (PUP) here? How are the people who are walking supposed to walk along this area? Its damn unsafe yaar!

The funny thing is that the bypass is 6-lane, when all it needed to be was 4-lane with better connectivity and link roads. Because of going after the 6-lane construction, now there are so many problems here. It would have been lot easier if they had just built a 4-lane bypass to start with.

If youre moving here, I want you to know that there is some alignement defect in this road. This was just very recently brought to light in a meeting of the officers of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)

I too have been looking for a 1 bhk apartment somewhere near ab road. Like you, I too was adviced to have a look at ab road. About it being the best locality in Indore - I totally agree. There are a ton of eateries, hospitals and shopping complexes around. There are many residential complexes that have a 1 bhk as well. But it has been over a week and havent found my requirements. I suggest you to take the help of a broker or agent as it will hurry the process and also he will find the closest match to what you require. You could also check out talawali chanda.

I have been living on AB Road for the last six months now. I have a 1bhk and the complex I line in is just superb. It has full power back up and is well-maintained. I am not sure of the availability of 1bhk in the complex but there are many options nearby. A decent 1bhk can cost you anything from 6000 to 10000. Regarding the locality, ab road is considerably better than most of the other areas in Indore.

Hey, firstly - any and every place in India is a victim of powercuts at some point. I would suggest going for a place that has a power backup facility. An apartment complex would be the best option for you. However, I am not sure that you get 1bhk apartments in apartment complexes. You could buy an inverter for your trouble or you could share a 2bhk with someone you know. It''ll end up being cheaper and you'll get all the amenties you require. Regarding the area, it is all right. Like every other place, AB bypass road has it's advantages and disadvantages.
