The CM told clearly. In places like New York and Singapore people give importance to good practice. Half the traffic can be managed if people realise their skills and duties. Here unta is conscious more about its rights than its responsibilities.
Hey did you know that there are 6.5 lakh vehicles here in Mysore where the population is only 12 lakh! That speaks a lot about road traffic here. Also there has to be discipline among the drivers. That is where I feel sad
The District Collector has spoken saying this time there is more urgency and technology at hand to assess the situation. Last time KSRTC planned somethhing like intelligent road transport, and failed. Hope this works out, and most importantly, ON TIME
Its called JICA. Japan International Cooperation Agency. They apparently studied the road traffic in Hyderabad and Bangalore, and suggested improvements in traffic management system there, Here, not just in Chamrajapuram, but all over the city there has to be better regulation.
Hey I read they are bringing in some Japanese organization to help with the traffic management system in Mysore. The Palace region is quite bad ya. I dread taking my personal vehicle out now. :-/
Yeah, the Chamrajapuram - Mysore Palace route is pathetic during peak office transit hours. The chief minister had some nice things to say about our city traffic. He recently inaugurated the M-TRAC (Mysore Traffic Improvement Programme) no?
I think very recently there have been some moves by the State Government. We all know how Mysore is growing in terms of IT and becoming a new hub. The city and its roads need to improve accordingly. Beginning of september only I read Traffic Management project will start.
