Q: The flat I am planning to buy is at the top floor. As the house is for investment purpose there are second thoughts coming in. My Questions
1.What are the problems usually face when opt for top floor. 2.Weather problem? 3.Water leaking problem? 4.Will the property dealer negotiate more than usual when the flat is at the top floor? 5.What will be the advantages of taking top floor?
Any other points which I should look for before making any commitment
Hi Priya, Apart from that Advantage:- Quickest access to terrace. This is really a major benefit for top floor residents. No mingling of wi-fi channels for 2.4 Ghz band router. Clear phone network reception. Disadvantages:- Maximum evacuation time needed as compared to others in case of emergencies like fire, earthquake etc. Higher electricity bill due to excess usage of AC in summers.
Hi, Advantage- The view is always good from higher floors, In some cases you can take the advantage of roof. low cost, no one is above you so not much noise over your head.
Disadvantage- Need lift always, its always too hot in summer and too cold in winters, monsoon leakages, difficult for old age people, lift issues during power shut, mosquito problems .
If you love height then go for top floor ,otherwise won't.
