Hi Guys,
According to the latest news, as part of attempts to have the industrial hub selected among the 1st phase of smart cities of the nation, the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCF) is arranging motivating sessions with different stakeholders to develop a new plan in this regard.
Hi Aman,
According to sources, MCF commissioner Ashok Sharma declared that once the issues are recognized, the action plan on the particular area would be prepared. In this series of many seminars, a session was arranged by CII in partnership with the British High Commission on Smart Cities and Developing Urban Infrastructure.
Addressing the foreign delegates, Honorable Deputy Commissioner of Fairdabad, Mr Amit Kumar Agrawal said that there is a requirement for powerful engagement as well as collaboration with urban local bodies, RWAs and industry too. Faridabad, being a major part of the industrial belt and linked with DMIC, that will have an important part in the smart city wave.
Hi Guys,
I came to know from news that, India and UK can work jointly on developing smart cities through mutual learning. Smart Cities give local authorities the tools to take successful decisions, resolve any expected issues anxiously as well as better harmonize public open resources. Faridabad was added in the list of 98 cities which will be emerged under the Smart Cities mission.
IFC has invested $ 600 million in green buildings globally in the last 5 years. In addition, IFC has ongoing advisory programs in more than 10 countries. In India, IFC's clients - VBHC, an affordable housing developer, and SAMHI, a budget business hotel developer - have benefited from the use of EDGE.
Green buildings are a spellbinding need and IFC will be working in this fast growing Indian market. They aim to help builders introduce cost-effective green features into their designs and work with financial institutions and the government,to support their extensive acceptance.
It is expected that by 2050, India will be home to 1.6 billion people and most of this growth will come from cities, where the residential needs will double. This rapid expansion in construction would require buildings that are less resource-intensive yet meets the hopes of today’s growing middle class.
Whereas IFC will train members and share global best practices and knowledge with CREDAI on green building technologies. This partnership has the potential to change the residential market and put India in a leading position to apply a green rating system for homes on a large scale.
Fo that a MoU was signed in the presence of Prakash Javadekar Honorable Minister for Environment and Forests. CREDAI will encourage its members, including local chapters, to incorporate resource efficiency in their design using EDGE. To qualify for the certification, these efficiencies must result in savings of at least 20% in energy, water, and materials over the local standard practices.
EDGE stands for "Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies", and is a standard that center on energy and water efficiency in buildings. Fast, easy to use, and affordable, EDGE entitle builders and home-owners to choose environment-friendly technical solutions while capturing costs and projected savings.
