RS Puram locality review in Coimbatore

Q: I'm considering moving to the western part of the city, because frankly it will make the commute to and from work so much easier. How is RS Puram? Ive heard only briefly that its a good locality to live in. Can I get some more information, in details?

I have heard that there are some civic problems in here. Issues like garbage disposal and water logging are a major disturbance to the residents here. The roads are in a pathetic condition and during monsoon season, it gets worse.

R S Puram saw a high rise in the real estate market back in 2013 when the price went up to around 2,600 rupees, but then it saw a sudden decline in 2014. the market here is pretty different. it changed frequently.

Hey i thik the present price in R S Puram right now is around 1000 rupees per sq ft. I think it is reasonable. If you compare the price witth the other parts of the city, then R S Puram is a litlle more than the other localities. It is pretty close to the average of the city though

Ok no wonder they are calling RS Puram a commercial hub. There are so many places to shop here. Other than the smaller places, the Rajathi mall is here, also the Brookefields mall, Pinkz, and HR Towers. In fact even the Gujrati Samaj Bhawan is also a popular shopping destination for the people staying in and around RS Puram.

The commercialisation of the place is basically the reason behind the abundance of restaurants in RS Puram. You have the popular food chains like KFC, Pizza Hut, McD's CCD, Subway, Goli vada pav etc. Otherwise also you'll find plenty of nice eateries and cafes here - Bawarchi, That's Y Food, Hot Chocolate, I foods, etc are all here.

Not only there are plenty of grocery shops and general provision stores, but you'll find some supermarkets here as well. In fact there is a Nilgiri's and a Sathya supermarket here, right on the Thadgam road. Lots of restuarants here as well

Yeah I think the NH 67 is what comes to my mind when I think of connectivity in RS Puram. So many interesting places and things in RS Puram that we dont really get to so in too many places. There is the Coimbatore corporation flower market, as well as the Coimbatore Spinning and Weaving Mills.

Actually did you guys know that the commercial sector in this place is also quite thriving? Yeah, actually RS Puram is the third largest commercial hub in the city. The connectivity is also so great. All roads running east-west cross DB Road and exit to Mettupalayam Road on the east and Thadagam Road on the west.

Ok so the locality is situated near Old Coimbatore area of Ukkadam and Poomarket between Mettupalayam Road and Thadagam Road. You'll find all these places right next to this area - Sai Baba colony, Sukrawarpettai, Gandhi Park, Mettupalayam Road and Thadagam Road.

Oh yeah, its one of the preferred places to live in west Coimbatore. Basically the full name is Rathina Sabapathy Puram, but its known as RS Puram only. The basic charm of the locality is that you'll find both residential as well as commercial features in here.

Yes yes. There is a whole bunch of residential projects, both existing and upcoming in this place. You'll have plenty of options. And not just apartment complexes, you also will find a decent number of govt offices here, which i guess proves that this place holds some significance.
