Not only the schools and colleges, but the health infrastructure of this region is also quite good. There are some good hospitals in this region like the Grace Eye Clinic, Jacob's Hospital, Dr. Elza's Ayurcare, ESI Hospital, AMJ Hospital, Jishy Hospital etc. in this region.
Hey, the localion of Thoppumpady is strategic in my opinion. It is about 9 km from South Railway station in kochi. This is the major railway station here. From here, you can get access to all the passenger trains as well as superfast trains also. The cochin International Airport is also in a nearby locality itself.
For individual houses, the maximum price you may find is around 5000 and all. There are so many good villas also available at a similar cost. The minimum price for the apartment is around 4700 rupees per square feet. One friend of mine happened to tell me that there has been around 70 to 75 percent change in the price.
The locality of Thoppumpady is a posh locality. Here you can find some good apartment here, just like those mentioned. The price of the apartments here has seen a rising trend. Now, I think the price is around 6090 rupees per square feet for an apartment here on an average.
If I talk about the residential settlement in this region, then you see, the area has lots of Individual houses, villa types houses as well as apartments. Some of the major projects in this region include NBR Apartments, Favourita Space III, Aurys and Petty's Complex, Kent Constructions limited etc.
The shopping area of this region is crowded towards the junction where the PT Jacob Road joins the Aroor Thoppumpady Road and also along this road. Some of the commercial developments in this region include many shopping mall like the Marina Mall, Mobile Store, Maria Food Court, Zain Margin Free Market, ED Stores, Kattapana Stores, etc.
The region along the main road such as the PT Jacob road as well as the Aroor Thoppumpady Road is filled with good commercial development. I think there are branches and atm counters of various leading banks in this area like the State Bank of India, Chartered Sahakari Bank, Corporation Bank, Catholic Syrian Bank, Dhanlaxmi Bank, Ernakulam Dist. Cooperative Bank, HDFC Bank, Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Axis bank, ICICI Bank etc.
Earlier there was a problem of high traffic in the Venduruthy Bridge that connected this region to Willingdon Island as well as in the Thoppumpady Bridge. But later the new Mattancherry Bridge that build at 1 km distance near to it carries majority of the traffic from Thoppumpady to the willingdon Island.
Hey, again, you see, the transportation by railway to the various parts of the country is possible very easily as the South Railway Station of Cochin is located just 9 kilometre away from here. The old railway station, Harbour Terminus, is just down the Mattancherry Bridge. Now only the Cargo trains come to this station.
This area has the Thoppumpady Fish Harbour. This Cochin Fisheries Harbour which is a government run harbour is one of the major fishing industries harbour in the state. Along with this, let me add one more thing about the connectivity also that the Gateway of Cochin Bridge is also located near to this area.
Moreover, you know, as the person told earlier, the connectivity is excellent here, to various parts of Kochi. The PT Jacob road connects to the Aroor Thoppumpady Road. There are also many link roads to the inner part of the locality like the Tagore Road, Unni Ramesh Road, Karuvelipady road, T & R Road as well as Kochupally Road.
Hey, this locality is quite a good blending of commercial and the residential developments. Karuvelipady which is a small colony in the Thoppumpady region is quite a good residential locality. You can also find the Rameshwaram Temple in this area.
yeah..along with the demand for the connectivity, came the development of this beautiful town area near to Palluruthy, Valummel, Mundamveli, Rameshwaram, Chullickal, Panayappally, Kappalandimukku, as well as the popular jewish town of Mattancherry.
Thoppumpady is a very good locality near to the city area of Kochi. It is very famous for the Thoppumpady Bridge that connects the areas of Mattancherry, Fort Kochi, Palluruthy, to Willingdon Island as well as to the city areas of Kadavanthra, Perumanoor and so on. So the connectivity is one of the high points in this region.
