I think so too. If the secretariat complex is actually developed in there. the real estate value and the land appreciation of Erragadd will grow enormously. The area around all that will see so much of growth and development and the price is sure to increase in here.
If this plan works out, then the area around Erragadda will profit a lot. That place is actually not developed much in terms of infrastructure, but if the main enter of the Government is situated there, then maybe the profit lot.
But I think that this plan will only work out if the exosting Andhra Government also copes with the decision and moves out of the present Secretriat complex. I mean, as both the governments share the existing complex, if the Telangana Government will plan to move out, than maybe the Andhra Govt will follow suit as well.
the new secretariat would also have residential quarters for ministers and officers and offices of all the head of departments would also be located in the same premises. It would be built at a cost of Rs 150 crore in a year’s time.
This is apparently coming up in Yerragadda area. The new secretariat is being built at Yerragadda by shifting the government TB and Chest Hospital, which was built by the seventh Nizam of the bygone Hyderabad state on a huge 65-acre campus, for the Vikarabad town - some 70 km from Hyderabad
I have heard about this too. There definitely is a new secretariat complex coming up in the city for the new the new Government that has formed recently. This is actually not expected as the present secretariat complex is being shared by both the Andhra Pradesh and Telangna Government.
